What HTML editor to use in Mandrake 8.0?
I started to mess with Linux this week...completely new to it, and I'm trying to find a good HTML editor to use. I don't need anything fancy, but something that can create tables and cells, syntax highlighting, etc....any ideas?
Thanks in advance....
PS - Right now I design on WinME using DW4..

Some people would use vi. It takes awhile to learn all the commands but it is a plain simple editor for text and HTML.
Coffeecup is also a good one but it is shareware. I can't remember which ones come as default on Mandrake but here is a listing of a bunch of them for download.

if you don't want to learn vi I would recoment pico for people that are comming from windows, but if your running a GUI I would get WebMaker, its a free html editor that will color code your tags and make things easy to read. its alittle like cutehtml but runs on *nix with gnome or kde gui's.
