hi...not sure where to post this, so i chanced upon here

hey guys, i am considering copyrighting (US) a video i am making after it is done. i was wondering if you guys could find a sample of the US Copyright Law warning that is shown on videos. i found all the legal babble on the internet, but no samples. i also checked all my dvds, none shown there- i guess they arent' concerned with DVD's being copied. anyways,if you could find a sample or find one in your own collection and type it up for me, that would be awesome. thanks!

Some people/companies don't advertise the fact it's copyrighted - which they don't have to.
Copyright is automaticaly assigned to anything written, drawen, painted ... for 50 years, example this text I have just written now is copyrighted to me, but TWF could have a clause when you sign up saying everything posted becomes property of them, which is quiet legal.

Copyrights don't have to be registered, but it sounds like this is what you want to do, just adding a disclaimer isn't registering it. If you do register it, register it worldwide otherwise someone like me (from another country) could come along, grab it since the copyright wouldnt apply to me, rebundle it and sell it and there would be nothing you could do (as long as I didnt sell it on US soil). I'm not a lawyer and there is more involved in it but thats the general idea.
