Toss up a windows server. Test it in a real running environment.

Sometimes time is nessarry to make sure your environment works efficently. Last night I installed MS SQL 2000 insted of working on my program. I really have nothing to show for it but I'm ready when ever I need to use it.

Why not just configure IIS on your local machine, or is this what you've done already?
Plus what application is trying to download the file instead of displaying it, DMX 8?

What happens if you point ie at the file?
Also are you looking at the file on a web server (either local web server, or one on the Internet) or is it just on your local machine somewhere?
If the file isn't being served properly then the recieving end isn't going to know what to do with it.
