Shifting from Windows to Linux!!!
Hello, I want to shift from Windows to Linux.... Can come one please guide me and tell me some source to learn it... I mean some good site. Also please tell me from where to download it.

If you're new to linux, Ubuntu might be a good place to start (I'm using it right now). Has a good wiki, forum and IRC channel so plenty of help when you need it - provided you have internet access of course.

I guess you mean GNU/Linux. Linux is a kernel, just one part of the whole OS called GNU.
Ubuntu is nice, but it isn't entirely free software yet. gNewSense is, though, and it's based on Ubuntu.
*Cringe* -- is that why it's a far superior platform?

Yes, Red Hat linux is free and can be downloaded from the internet. Try having a look at their website:
