Outlook crashing!

My Outlook keeps crashing for no apparant reason at all, in fact it's the whole of Office 2000, Excel & Word in particular after Outlook.

I have tried uninstalling & reinstalling, no difference! I've downloaded & installed the service packs, no difference! I'm up to date with the upgrades for my OS.

It's driving me nuts as it always crashes right when I'm about to save something or send a mail.

Any ideas?

What email programs do you all use? I can probably live with Excel & Word being awkward as I don't use them all that much but obviously email is important.

I use Mozilla Thunderbird 0.1 (0.2 is out now... I haven't got it yet) for mail, and OpenOffice.org for Office stuff. Of course, this is on Linux, but both of the above have win32 versions too. Smiling

Oh, and they're both free. Laughing out loud

The error message just says that Office has generated an error and the program will close down, nothing more than that!

Ideally I'd like to stick with Office as it's nice having the calander, etc with Outlook.

Did you install any other software or hardware? I once had a similar situation with Outlook, Word, Photoshop, etc. After completly re-formatting the system, the problem still persisted. It turned out to be a buggy HP printer driver that was causing the problem.

Any crashes/unclean shutdowns? No viruses? Open any suspect emails/docs?

Nope nothing, completely virus free, PC otherwise stable & I never open attachments unless I'm expecting them. I give up!

One last check, do you use Windows Update?
