Network Security
I put in a wireless network for my DSL connection (DSL blows by the way) in my condominium at my summer place
They sent a free linksys router and I set it up and it works fine
However, the encryption is all funky
I set a WEP password (64 bit) and entered in my network settings on my Mac, and I connected to the network right away.
I could access the router settings easily enough.
However, nothing else would connect. I could not get outside of the network.
I disabled WEP protection and SSID broadcast, but Xbox Live would not connect to the network.
MAC address filtering does not work with all my machines.
IP filtering doesn't work either.
Any suggestions?

Yeah, I have found that all the wireless systems have the same initial problems.
Power on and off a few times, and then you have to input all the keys again a few more, and it eventually decides to work. (Don't forget to reboot the router as well...but not reset)
This has occurred on my network, and my two neighbors as well...and the "fix" works.
(Random quirk though)

IT might be set in "accesspoint" mode... To fix this, go into the admin panel, and change it to "router" instead
