need help with my cdrw drive
i have just bought a sony 32x cdrw drive. the pc is p4 1.4 GZ, 128 ram, 20 GB hd.
the cdrw is master and there is sony 40x as slave. the bios is set to 'default' and the os is win me. i am using nero 5.5.9.0. everything's ok, but the nero permits only 8x writing max. two weeks ago it could burn up to 16x. then now 8x. two days ago, i only allowed 6x max. all of the burning was from the latest seagate hd which can support burning up to 78x.

Sorry no one got back to you on this...?
Are you still using the same kind of CDs, or did you switch brands?
The type of CDs you are using may not be able to operate at the higher speed>
Thanks,
Christian

it was the disc makers' technical defects on the product
