Multiple Connections on a Dialup

Hello
I'm not at home all summer, and I have 2 laptops I want to put on 1 dialup connection.
1 is XP, the other is ME. I have tried setting up internet connection sharing, but it just doesn't work.
Both have network cards and I have hooked them together, but the ME computer won't recognize the XP laptop's connection through a dialup.
Can you give me a guide on how to set this up, or some help?

So you are trying to network the two laptops - using what method? WiFi, wired, phoneline? These might help:
