Doesn't it suck to have a 56k knowing that you can get much faster connection out there?

well, i have some audio files on my pc which range from being 40mb-80mb which i have ZIPPED making the files around 10% smaller of its original capacity.

My internet connection goes on a average 4kb per second and always by default disconnects every 2 hours.

All this means i can only manage to upload 15mb of the possible 40mb-80mb in just 2 hours with my WS FTP PRO program.

I was wondering if anyone knows how i can solve this problem? Is there a FTP PROGRAM which allows me to pause the upload so when my pc disconnects i can pause it quickly and reconnect so i can resume from where i left off?

Thanks in advance

Venomous_One,

You should be able to resume an upload/download if you get disconnected. I guess it depends if your host (/FTP server) and FTP client allows it or not, but it's possible.

Gozilla is an ftp program that allows just that.

I believe gozilla is spyware, was a while back so might want to check it out if your worried about that sort of thing. think its only for downloading too.

Good luck, I also have 56k but with a 3 hour cut off

found this one, explains what spyware is http://whatis.techtarget.com/definitionsSearchResults/1,289878,sid9,00.html?query=spyware and /or http://www.spychecker.com/spyware.html

found this listing of spyware http://www.tom-cat.com/spybase/spylist.html gozilla is on there.

If your worried about spyware etc etc somethig like ad-aware been featured in all sorts of pc magazines and is free http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ (I run this one everyday), First time i ran this I had 76 files found (i was running kaaza and gozilla then) but the cookies add up, doubleclick is the worst
