Laptop Battery General Knowledge
May I like if a new laptop battery need to be charged for 8 hours at the first time? I just changed a new bettery to my laptop. At the very first time, I saw the new battery can last 1.5hours so I just use to it without charging. Later-on it off automatically so immediately, I plugin and charge. But, my battery indicated "44% (plugged in, not charging)". May I know what's wrong? It has been 3 days I am using the new battery and the same issue happen.

Like all rechargable batteries, they need to be fully run down and then fully recharged several times before they start running at peak performance.

Do not leave a charged battery dormant for long periods of time. Once charged, you should at least use the battery at least once every two to three weeks. Also, do not let a Li-On battery completely discharge. (Discharing is only for older batteries with memory effects)

This is inconvenient as I am using laptop at my workplace. This is rather impossible for me to unplug until the battery flat and re-plugin. I might lost my data if the laptop get blank suddenly.
Is there a saying that new laptops' battery have to charge for 8 hours at the first time usage?

Several recharging attempts also affects the life of battery, so once connected for charging try to charge it full to its limit, so that you can reduce the changing intervals of it.

First charge your battery full and after that use it in your laptop. I guess after that it will work properly.

Like all rechargable energy, they need to be completely run down and then completely energized several times before they start going at high efficiency.Several receiving efforts also impacts the life of power supply, so once attached for receiving try to demand it full to its control, so that you can decrease the shifting durations of it.

We must put the laptop on the hard surface while charging it . It is said that one must not charge while using it . If your battery is almost dead then just replace it with the new one .

Lions, Suh agree stomp vs. Packers 'unacceptable'
Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was ejected from the Thanksgiving game against the Green Bay Packers for stomping on the arm of Packers' Evan Dietrich-Smith . Dietrich-Smith had angered Suh when pulling him down during a tackle. Suh was already going to receive a personal foul penalty for repeatedly pushing his head down into the ground before he stomped on his arm.
Suh was dismissed after tangling with Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith. After being pushed off Dietrich-Smith, Suh stepped down hard with his right foot, appearing to make contact with Dietrich-Smith's right arm.
Speculation has abounded all weekend as fans and players alike wait for the order to come down from the NFL as to how to handle the situation.
Suh's actions are selfish, some teammates said , and they wish the Lions and/or league had done more to discipline the second-year pro in the past to curb his behavior.
They hope Suh’s action will be dealt with severely, and don’t want to see these kind of acts any more.
In this week condemning his actions was condemning by the Detroit Lions , and a league source said the possibility of a multi-game suspension exists, but those have been very rare in the recent history of on-field discipline.
If Suh is suspended early next week, he would have a chance to keep playing pending any appeal -- but that appeals process can be expedited. Detroit plays at New Orleans on Dec. 4.

I learned about this the hard way! I always kept my battery plugged in because it was there and I wanted it to be fully charged. So bad! Let it run down every single time and then charge it. DONT keep it plugged in!

Hi,
Your battery is completely destroy, please purchase new battery. And When your laptop battery is fully charge then use the battery not still use the power. when your laptop battery remain 20% charge then plugin the power and then use it.
I mean to say that Use the maximum battery then it will run long time.
Thanks
