I have a question about internet Explorer
I have this chat room http://haitisurf.com/talk/ I am able to login easily using mozilla. However if I try to login using Internet explorer
It just say "loading" and at the bottom I can see error on page.
I think that I need to change a setting on Internet Explorer, but I am not sure what to change. The chat is a php and java chat. Can anyone help me figure out that to change in my browser to solve the problem of not being able to login with Internet Explorer?
Thank in advance

Well, since I really didn’t feel like registering to see any further than where I got to, it definitely looks like there might be an issue with your settings.
Go into IE and click on TOOLS. Then click on INTERNET OPTIONS. Select the ADVANCED tab. Now here’s the tricky part, you will need to find out what settings there are maybe causing the problems. At least this is my say on it. I’m not expert, but this has been the answer to plenty of my questions regarding similar experiences.

I really appreciate your answer, that was so nice of you. I have tried to do what you asked by going in the advanced menu in IE and I was not sure what I was doing, there fore that did not work.
You can log as user "test" and password "test" and let me know if you are successful with IE. For some reason It only shows me that the chat is loading and it doesnot do more activities like "loading".
In Mozilla it works very well for me.

OK, os I tried it and I guess it was doing the same thing for me. It just kept saying that it was loading. Since IE is not a strong point of mine, I will have to leave this for someone more in tune with it. Sorry I couldn't help more than that.

using IE 7
signed in, then out, then could not load any pages in IE except home (Google) maybe from cache... including your page, just sitting there with progress bar stuck on bottom...
went back to FFox (2) and noticed all plugins were missing - I had tried the chat previously in same FFox.
rebooted, then was able to sign in and out and back again and load other pages in IE - no problems
so I don't know if problems were related to your page or just &^*&%^$ Vista and IE crap.
If you continue to have problems contact the creators/maintainers of your chat software or consider switching - I am not a chat expert but I have used phpmychat and it easy to theme, lots of options.

You are saying people with notion use IE? (double negative)
I presume you are not, and so what about the 50-75% of internet users who use IE?
That's potentially a HUGE loss of site visitors and users.
On a personal opinion, I prefer FF and have used it faithfully for over two years, but as this is a webmasters forum with advice on SEO, marketing techniques, driving visitors to your site and keeping them, I coudn't advise against that idea anymore.
I test with the minimum of FF, IE and Safari.

50-75 per cent of IE users? Have you ever been on other forums and saw polls about FF vs IE? These polls say the opposite...

Even though I agree with the post above telling you to use FF, would you mind telling us why do you want to use IE so badly ?
If there is not specific reason my answer will be the same as above but if there is a reason, it might worth thinking about your issue

I do not like IE because of its embarrasing unusability! Microsoft even could not make a qualified copy of Firefox or Opera, with tabbed browsing and many other issues.
I have got 101 particular reasons of why Firefox is really better than IE, which is full of bugs, slow....
Not unlike the waves...

Try new version of your internet explorer. Otherwise you can try firefox, chrome etc.
