Greek characters

I'm trying to copy Greek characters from a Word doc to HomeSite 4.5.2. It just appears that any editor I use (homesite, dw, notepad) it's always the same result: a string of unrecoqnised characters.

Is this a Windows thing? I tried setting the keyboard language to Greek which resulted in being able to type in Greek but copy&paste still wouldn't work properly.

Does anyone know of a solution? I'm running NT 4 and got IE6 installed.
