ftp downloads
I know this is probably the stupidest thing you've ever heard b ut i can't figure out how to downlaod from an ftp source in my web browser. when i click the link it opens a webpage that showsthat shows all the folders and files i should be downloading. I tried right clicking the link and going to save link target as but that just saved the webpage that shows the files in an index and not the files themselves. how do i download something from an ftp source ???

From the sounds of your problem the ftp link is set to run through some type of gateway page ... A normal ftp link would look something like this:
ftp://domainname.com/folder/link.ext
If the ext is some kind of internet page extension and/or the link has an http:// instead of the ftp:// then it is not an actual ftp source link.
Hope this helps.
