DVD help needed.
OK here goes...
About a month ago i bought a NEC DVDRW ND1300A that did both -R and +R DVD copies, plus CD copies. Anyway i was making a DVD the other day, when my wife (rushing to the phone) gave my computer a kick !
My DVD player now doesn't work.
When i turn on my PC the set-up finds the DVD drive and it also shows up in my-computer, but when i put any disk in the drive nothing is found.
I think my wife must have broke something inside the dvd player.
Does anyone have any advice about what i should do ?
I bought the NEC ND1300A DVDRW on ebay and can't send it back.
Do you think i could take it to a shop or send it back to NEC ?
Please help. I paid just over £100 for it.

I've tried a few things and now think that it's the laser lens. I think the laser must be out and needs putting back in to place. I hope the local PC shop can do this for me.

Yeah, my computer was resting on the bench and my kids decided to have a play, next thing i know its on the floor and none of my cdroms worked so i just had a play with it and it turned out the lasers had just been knocked, put em back in place and it worked like a dream.
