downloading zip files...
whenever i download a zip file it downloads it to temporary internet files and opens it up for me, it isnt that hard to move it, but it is annoying to either have to tell it to unzip in a different folder or choose save target as everytime i download a zip file.
FYI i am using ie6 and winXP
anyone can do any amount of work provided it isnt the work they are supposed to be doing.

I'm not using XP, but when it's downloading, don't you see a check box where it says "Always ask before opening this type of file"? If so, make sure it's checked.

Actually I don't think this is going to be an IE problem. It could be something going on with your zip program. WinZip, in particular, can be made to automatically open and install a file.

i dont use winzip. and it wouldnt be the zip program because it is downloading to temporary internet files, i have also found a couple other file types that get sent there sometimes, but not all the time, which seems weird to me.

pretty much the same one as in the link above, but that atricle was meant for people using other versions of windows. they just put the options for downloading individual file types in a different place.
