Color Laser Printers

Hello again, been a while.

I have recently been issued the job of replacing our aging color printer. It is a QMS magiccolor 330. I think it works just fine, but those damn graphic designers think it doesn't print the colors correctly. Geez, picky ain't they? lol..just kidding. So that is why I gotta replace it.

I'm no expert on printers, actually I don't know squat about them. Finnally my question is: What laser color printer would you recommend. It has to be professional quality and $ is not an issue here, as long as it is worth the $.

Thanks
Ken Elliott

Ken, let me say I have a Lexmark laser printer (non-color) and it has been solid. A got a good deal with Dell for it when I bought my system. I found some laser printer reviews here, however, I can't confirm that they're color printer reviews. Even if they're not, it might help you get started and find which brands are best these days. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. But I'm actually talking about highend laser color printers. In the $2000 - $10000 range. Color correctness is the most important thing. We are currently spending $200 a pop on iris's and match prints. This is like 100-150 times a year, that is major bank that they could be adding on to my salary ya know...hehe. I've got some idea's, hopefully they will pan out, gotta see if I can find some reviews on some of these.

The one I am currently looking at is the LaserJet 5000GN, but it doesn't say anything about being color correct. I hope I find something solid, I don't want to purchase a printer that doesn't meet my requirements.

Have you checked out sites like Epinions.com? They have user reviews of a wide assortment of products and I'd see if you could find something there that would point you in the right direction.
