What's the URL? If we could actually take a look at it, it would be much, much easier to troubleshoot.

It would be helpful if you could see what these buttons look like too...

It's quite possible that your internet provider is caching the page. this would prevent you from seeing the changes right away on the machine that did the uploading. There are also a number of other reasons though that could be causing this. Without more information it is difficult to pinpoint the problem.

Could you please post a link? It's hard to know what you're talking about without being able to see the page. Screenshots of of the incorrect display would be helpful too.

So you're saying you can't see the "Get Macromedia Flash" button, the "Get Macromedia Shockwave" button or the "Get Adobe Reader" button? Is that right?

When you use the one at the house, are you looking at a local copy of the site, or the online version?

Tim as far as I know I am looking at the online version, I go to google then do a search for the site click on it bingo or I have also just typed the url into the addres bar of my browser IE6 and Firefox and get the same results.

Hmm... interesting. It's hard to tell from this end.
Could you post both a screenshot from your home computer? Also, while looking at the online version, view the HTML code and post that here as well.

That's bizarre. Where those three image tags are, every character from the < to the > in the image tag has been replaced with a space.
You say Firefox and IE are both doing this? If so, then it has to be somewhere between the web server and your browser. You might try disabling any firewalls, internet protection, etc. you have on there, but just long enough to check out the site.
Also, if you have a second computer you could check it on from your house, you can at least determine if it's your computer or not.
That's a really weird problem, though. Let us know if you get any more info on it.

Ok ... There is a discrepancy in the source from online and in the text file you posted here ... Here is the snippet from online.
Here is the same section from the txt you posted here --
If you look carefully ... you will see that the online version has the "src=" tag in it where the one you posted here does not ....
Since I do not know where you got the one you posted here I cannot say for sure why you are not seeing it but the code shows where the problem is.

the source file I posted comes from typing the url into my address bar when the site is found I went toedit view source I then copied and pasted the text into notepad and uploaded it for you to see.
I was viewing in firefox at the time. I have since viewed the site on a spare pc at home which is loaded with the same versions of all software (temporarly) and it looks ok.

At the very least, now we know it's on your computer. Now the thing to look at is all software that the web page goes through prior to being displayed in your browser.
I would go through all anti-virus, spam-protection, McAfee, Norton programs and disable them all until it starts working. Then, go back through re-enabling until it stops working. Then re-enable all the ones you can until while keeping it working. That should determine your culprit.
If you are unable to figure it out, and it's that important to you that it be fixed, it may be time for a reinstall of Windows.

I have not come across this before but it seems to point to something in Firefox as the culprit. When I viewed your site using IE I got the snippet I posted here and was able to view all of the graphics ...
The only thing I can suggest is to search on Firefox and see if this has occured to others and had a patch or trouble shooting done on it ... If anyone has Netscape to test the site on it may help to determine this a little more ...
The only other thing I can think of is that some configuration setting has been altered somwhere along the way .... It may not require Windows itself to be reinstalled, but it may take reinstalling bot IE and Firefox to fix the issue.

Karmaman said in the first post that it was happening with both IE and Firefox, but only on his computer.

Tim is correct it happens in BOTH IE6 and Firefox Ihave already reinstalled IE6 and it has made no difference, maybe I do need to reinstall windows, should I reinstall over the top of the existing version or format then reinstall?

One last thing you may want to try before blowing it away (unless you really want to that is) is to check this link out on Microsoft's web site. The answer may lie in there:
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article
If you do end blowing it up since it is most likely a configuration issue you will need to reformat then reinstall to be sure no residual settings are still there.

OOOOHHHHH I was hoping not to hear that I do need to format and reinstall as I am only able to use the one pc at present due to moving house and lots of stuff packed away the pc I am using is the family pc and is set up with profiles for my wife and children if I can possibly avoid having to back up all thier e-mails and everything I would be a happy man.
Any sugestions I am very gratefull for all your support guys.
