Audio: Converting Mp3 to Midi?
hi,
i want to know if it is possible to convert mp3 files into midi format.
If it is possible then what kind of program/software would i need and where could i get?
I prefer midi files over mp3 because they aren't big despite that mp3 has better quality.

Try this: http://www.designsbyjoy.net/OtherTutorials/mid.htm (found with http://www.google.nl/search?hl=nl&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=mp3+to+midi+convert&lr=)
You can also convert convert mp3 to wav with one of these programs and then convert the wavs to midi with one of these programs.
Hope it helps,

hmm.. midi is not suitable for song, the format problem, it's only specifically for sound file, without human voice, i am in doubt if you really can convert it?

That is true, you cannot convert everything you want to midi. But it seems there are converters for the sounds you can convert.

The tunes i need to convert are instrumentals from a game known as Final Fantasy.
I'll be using vocal tunes as mp3 format.
