360 Panorama Software (VR Tour)
Has anyone had any experience with IPIX software or VR Worx? I am looking into purchasing some software to create a VR Tour using panoramas for some training scenarios these would run from a CD or a LAN.
IPIX seems like a good option although it seems you have to purchase an image key for every image you produce.
VR Worx seems good although I was comparing the speed of navigation within the panoramas and IPIX did seem to be smoother and faster & IPIX also allows spherical images.
I require to have hotspot links and objects integrated as well as sound, which I believe they both do. Although I'm not sure about directional sound which would be useful.
Quicktime5 now seems to support cubic & spherical panoramas but I haven't found any software which you can add hotspots with cubic panoramas for export to QT5.
I know MGI Reality Studio can produce all these effects although I'm not sure that the IVR files can run on a local system. Does anyone know if this is possible?
I would like to have the panoramas in full screen, which I am not, sure MGI's panoramas do full screen anyone know?
I would be very grateful for any advice.
Thanks.

Any update on this, dfraser? Obviously, no one has had any input.

If you plan on running it over a LAN or CD use QuickTime. From the few projects I've worked on I've found it to be the highest quality (for full screen). The main downside is the compression, which shouldn't be a major problem on a local system. If you have access to an apple computer you can use Apple's VR Authoring Studio software. And you can add hot spots!
There's also zoomify.com. They are a local company and I've worked on a few experimental projects using their tools. Defiantly worth looking into.

We have done quite a bit of panoramic work in the past... take a look at http://www.pan360.co.uk and let me know what you think...

Liked the panoramic work you have done
Guess I was looking into panoramic software which could allow full screen panoramas. I think QuickTime is probably the closest alternative.
I just wish that the cubic panoramas, which you create for QT5 could add hotspots this would be ideal.
