Today google tools show my sitemap have mistake,please see below:
"All the URLs in your Sitemap have the same priority.
All the URLs in your Sitemap are set to the same priority (not the default priority). Priority indicates the importance of a particular URL relative to other URLs on your site, and doesn't impact your site's performance in search results. If all URLs have the same priority, Google can't tell which are more important."

I have tested creating a sitemap with autositemap (an open source SourceForge project, I do not know if it is the same as Google's Autositemap, probably not)
It's a php app you install on your server, not too difficult to install or use.
I think it has some good features (particularly the ability to generate sequential urls, for instance if you have a membership site with urls containing sequential user_id numbers)
I think it generates valid xml I have not submitted its results anywhere

A page priority is an indication to googlebot about its importance and changes. Google is smart enough to detect other stuff. If you are not aware I would like to share this
Sitemap page priority
1. index page - 1
2. category / group page - 0.8
3. normal page - 0.5

XML sitemeap generator is the easiest to use: http://www.xml-sitemaps.com. It sets up page priorities automatically.

xml-sitemap is well but it generates only 500 pages, if your site have more than 500 than it can't generate. I am using gsitecrawler for the long time, that generate the well xml formed sitemap.xml for your site
